The IWK Health Centre and 海角社区app University are conducting a study examining children鈥檚 executive functioning (working memory, planning/organizational abilities, inhibition)
听
Your child may take part in this study if he/she: 听
o Is between the ages of 8 and 12
o Has normal or corrected to normal eyesight
o Speaks English as a primary language
听
Your child may NOT take part in this study if he/she:
o Has a primary mental health disorder
o Has a history of severe head injury
o Has a chronic medical condition
听
This study will involve one visit to a research laboratory at 海角社区app University where:
听
路 You and your child will have a meeting with the researcher to inform you about the study and to answer questions
路 Your child will complete some hands-on, and paper and pencil activities with a research assistant
路 Your child will complete some activities that will require you to define words, read, and do some math
路 Your child will get to choose a small prize, and receive a certificate of completion for participating!

You will:
路 Fill out questionnaires
路 Receive a Tim Horton鈥檚 gift card as a thank you for participating
听
Your child鈥檚 teacher will:
路 Fill out questionnaires to help us learn more about you at school
听
