Daniella Charles-Beke completed her Bachelor of Law at Redeemers University in Nigeria and worked as a legal intern before starting her IDS MA at º£½ÇÉçÇøapp. Her thesis research focuses on alternative dispute resolution mechanisms in post-conflict societies, offering insights into sustainable peacebuilding and justice reform.

Sadia Hossain

Sadia

Sadia Hossain completed Bachelor and Masters degrees in Social Science and worked in communications with the NGO CARE Bangladesh before moving to Canada to start her MA in IDS at º£½ÇÉçÇøapp. Her thesis research focuses on the roles of celebrities and social media influencers in development communication in Bangladesh.

Shamila Pokharel

Shamila

Shamila Pokharel completed a Bachelor of Social Science at Kathmandu University (Nepal), a Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism at the Asian College of Journalism (India) and worked as a menstrual health activist in Nepal before moving to Halifax to begin her MA in IDS at º£½ÇÉçÇøapp. Her thesis research focuses on the experiences of women combatants during and after Nepal’s civil war (1996-2006) in the context of the UN Women, Peace and Security Agenda.

Cassidy Zelle

Cassidy

Cassidy Zelle completed her BA in IDS at the University of Waterloo with an honours thesis on the fast fashion industry before coming to º£½ÇÉçÇøapp to begin her MA in IDS. Her thesis research focuses on the implementation of Canada’s recent federal legislation requiring transparency about child and forced labour in supply chains, the ‘Fighting Against Forced Labour and Child Labour in Supply Chains Act’ (S.C. 2003, c. 9).
